Hello Ladies, The Angels are one week away from our first Angel Fashion Show and thanks to each of you, it is going to be a huge success. We wanted to make sure that all of our guests get all the details for an easy check-in. If you are driving, (don’t forget we are having unlimited Mimosas!!), the St Pete Yacht Club’s physical address is 11 Central Avenue, St Petersburg. Our invite said the Downtown St Pete Yacht Club, with no address listed, so for those of you that are not familiar with the SPYC, this is the address. When you pull into the SPYC parking garage, just tell the parking attendant you are there for the Angel Fashion Show which is upstairs in the Grand Ballroom.

We have many volunteers that will assist you with any of your needs. We have great door prizes, amazing raffle items and other items for sale. You can bring cash or use credit cards for ticket purchases and any other purchases that we will have available for sale.

It is going to be a great day and we want to thank each of you for your support and we look forward to seeing you next Saturday, April 23rd 2022 for the Angel Brunch Bunch event!

March 8th, 2022 was a record day for our Monthly Angel Meetings. We had over 34 attendees and it was the best meeting ever! We had Jared Ripka, founder of the Beer Breakfast present the Angels with the best ever donation they have ever had. Their organization has raised over $100,000 to local charities in our communities and that is AMAZING. We had Tony Mangiafico, the St Pete Fools Charity in attendance who told our group about their mission and also told our group that the Angels would be one of the recipients of their upcoming Sold-Out Golf Tournament! This was amazing news and we are so grateful for organizations like the Beer Breakfast event and the St Pete Charities event to choose the Angels to help make a difference in the lives of the children we advocate for 24/7.
 
We had Leah Veal, Founder & CEO of BLI Learning Labs who talked about their mission of promoting self-worth and increasing academic proficiency in the lives of all children as one of our speakers. Every community partner present gave a brief update of how their agency is doing and it was not only informative but there was such a positive energy in the room that you could feel things were looking up after several years of the pandemic! We would love for anyone interested in learning more about what we do and what our community partners are doing, to please take time from your busy schedules to come and spend an hour with the Angels. We promise you will walk away knowing a lot more about the children and families we advocate for than when you walked through the doors.

It is hard to believe that a whole year has passed since Journee entered our world. Ashley has done an amazing job being a mom and we are all so proud of her. She not only manages our Angel Center making it the success that it is today, but her #1 priority is her Journee!

Our Angel Brunch Bunch event will be our first fashion show event. It will be an afternoon of fun, door prizes, raffle items, a buffet brunch and a fashion show by JoJo’s Boutique, St Pete Beach. This will not only be an exciting and fun event for all our ladies, but itt will also be informative. The Angels are very excited to bring back our famous Child Advocacy Expo. With some new community partners, new faces, previous agencies, some new resources, and a new Lead Agency, Family Support Services of North Florida, we felt it was perfect timing to host our 11th Annual Child Advocacy Expo to give everyone an opportunity to network with one another and share all the resources in our community. We are very excited to have Secretary Shevaun Harris as our Guest Speaker to talk about moving forward and finding solutions to make more of a difference in the lives of the children we advocate for. The Angels will be inducting the The St Pete Glitter Queens into our Archangel Hall of Fame at our 2022 annual event. Break out your tiaras Queens, it is going to be a night to remember. We will have great music, food, entertainment, but most of all our guests will still know why the Angels do what they do in our community. Thanks to this amazing group of women, they chose Angels Against Abuse as their charity of choice in 2015 and helped us make a difference in the lives of the children and families we advocate for 24/7.

The Kind Mouse has filled over 665,000 tummies. Thank you Gina for your hard work and all your mice helpers.
