Mr. and Mrs. Catizone, lovingly known as Nick and Kay, faithfully served our country during World War II. Kay was a Latinate in the Navy Nurse Corps and worked in U.S. Naval Hospitals during the war time. Dominic was a second Latinate and Infantry Unit Commander in the Army. Nick and Kay married In March of 1948 and moved to the quiet comfort of St Pete Beach where they made their home. Nick and Kay had a deep longing and special place in their hearts for kids. Although they were not able to have their own, they wanted to provide a legacy for vulnerable or sick children. Their generous donation to Angels Against Abuse will continue to help the children in foster care in Pinellas County for years to come. Today we give a special tribute them for their past service to our country and now their present contribution to the children in our community. Words are not enough.
