Good Bye 2017 Hello 2018
Happy New Year Angels! I hope all of you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas and New Years. It is always so exciting to go into a new year with anticipation of making a difference in the lives of the children and youth we advocate for all year long. Just knowing the impact we are making in their lives makes everything we do more worthwhile! That is why our January Kick-off the Year Angel Meeting is such an important meeting to attend for so many reasons. We will be hearing from our community partners with feedback from our Christmas Giving Program; we will be giving you an update on our upcoming events so everyone can get them in their calendars; we will be kicking off our plans for our April Blue Ribbon Gala and getting our volunteers signed up for our only fundraiser we hold annually; and we want to hear from all of you with any questions or suggestions to make us better and stronger. We are in our 11th year of making a difference in the lives of children and youth, but there is always room for improvement and we want to hear from you!!
I sent out an email blast several weeks ago as a reminder for our January meeting, but I believe that many of you were on vacation during the holidays so this is another reminder to you that our January Angel Meeting is next Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at our regular meeting location: Pasadena Community Church, Life Enrichment Center, located at 227 70th Street South, St Petersburg, FL. From 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
Since the January meeting is always such an informative meeting, we ask that you bring any potential new members that might be interested in becoming an Angel. You can never have too many Angels!!
2017 was a fantastic year for the Angels and let’s keep that momentum going for 2018. It is very exciting to be an Angel and see the Hope and Joy that we give children and youth that we have an opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
See you next Tuesday, Please let me know by Friday, January 5th, 2018 if you plan to attend so I can have the room set up with enough chairs. Please RSVP either way so I don’t pester anyone. That way I know you are reading my emails.

Please mark your calendars to be a part of this fun-filled morning and early afternoon. Last year the recipients for this event was Ready for Life and they hit record numbers. Let’s show this wonderful and generous group of professionals that we can make this event a super year for the Angels. It sounds like a lot of fun and this fun represents dollars for the children and youth we advocate for in our community who rely on the Angels to make a difference in their lives.

You will no want to miss this Fun event planned for the Angels. It is just around the corner and we don’t want you to miss out! It is called the Wine Down Event hosted by The Burg Exchange who has chosen Angels Against Abuse, Inc. as their Charity of Choice for 2018. This is very exciting and such good news for the Angels. The theme is the 1920’s and you will want to deck yourselves out with the look of the 1920’s and be eligible for being a winner of the best 1920’S costume.
